Our two latest trainees give the team some new fire. Ernest Czapla has become the perfect rider for Essex, becoming 2nd in the YC and 10th in the GC this year, without top form and with an off day in the TT. He will serve as hill helper for Alexander Engeli and Kurt Rousseau who will co-captain the coming seasons. Next to this, he will be captain in Essex and gets his chances in hill-TT's.
The other guy is Harold Faivre, a top talent and becoming a beast. Still under training, but maxed in his TT skills. After the TT center, he will be a 240 TT rider, an amazing LO1 and maybe even suitable to go for tour podium places.
The last few seasons, we only allowed talents in our team. To remain competitive in top division and to fill our (relatively empty) palmares, we decided to make an exception now and then. We will do some more top form recharges (Eloy Soria for Germany tour) and therefore require a broader selection.
The main focus remains on the development of talents, but if there is a need, a relatively cheap, trained rider will come. However, only Dutch riders are allowed to improve our Dutch appearance. Wubbe Langenbach is the first one and he will participate in the time trails.
